Celebrating our 60th Anniversary

Hi everyone, thanks for visiting today :)

It's Mad March here in Adelaide, so during March, the Port Adelaide Camera Club (PACC) will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the club with an exhibition of past and present members' works.

PACC is one of the oldest and most progressive clubs in S.A. and an integral part of the South Australian Photographic Federation; the governing body of artistic photography in our State. The exhibition will display both black/white and colour prints as well as a rolling slideshow of members' images on a screen.

The SAPF Permanent Collection also has been sourced for early photographs.

Congratulations to club members: Paula McManus, Vicki Easom, Dianne Davies, Joylene Lee-Archer, Jason Glover, David Sandison, Bec Lundberg, Georgios Tsiminis, Donna Hutchinson & Cathy Cates on your images being chosen to appear on the promotional material for our 60th Anniversary Retrospective Photographic Exhibition!

So, if you are in the Port Adelaide area anytime over the next two weeks, please pop in for a visit!  I am confident you will be most impressed with what you see!

Cheers

Our first Guest Speaker for the year: Tom Putt

on Tuesday, 1st March 2016 we had a wonderful evening with Tom Putt from Inspire Landscapes, and 50+ people attending a most inspiring presentation on landscape photography.

The presentation was promoted on Facebook; interest was very high, with all of the seats filling very fast.  We were also joined by members of the public, as well as members from a few other Camera Clubs, who by all reports, enjoyed the night very much.

Our club members and visitors alike were entertained by Tom and, hopefully, have been inspired!   One of our April competition subjects is 'Landscape/Seascape' - I don't know about anyone else, but I was most certainly inspired and will be looking with new eyes ready for the April competition.

There was much chatting around the supper table afterwards, with the evening finishing well after 10 pm - a late night for those with a long drive home!

Thank you Tom, for visiting our club, it was a pleasure meeting you and seeing your work.

Thanks to Bec Lundberg for taking a few snaps on the night.

Cheers for now
