Suggestions to help kick start your photography for 2017

We all know that there are times when your photography may not give you as much pleasure as it once did - I do think that it is a normal process of any hobby; especially if you have been doing it for a while.

However, there are ways you can help reinvigorate your photography by trying something new - a new year, a new focus!

Join a Camera Club - there are some great camera clubs around - just Google 'camera club + your city' and see what comes up!

The SAPF (South Australian Photographic Federation) has a list of all camera clubs in South Australia HERE

In the PACC, we have a weekly photo share thread running in our Members' Only Facebook Group - members are able to share a photo of what their week has been like - the subject matter is always varied and most interesting.

What follows are some links to a few websites with some really good ideas on how to get started with a new project ....

I have personally participated in a Flickr group project since 2013 (2016 will be my most successful year).  I like the fact that there is no pressure to complete the entire challenge, but I have found that each year I participate, I manage to complete more themes; maybe 2017 will be my year to finish the whole list 😊.   I found I like to join groups where there are no limitations on when the actual image has to be taken (other than during that particular year), as we all know that life can get in the way sometimes, and there are times when you just cannot get out with your camera  ðŸ˜ž.

I hope this information helps reinvigorate your photography!  Feel free to leave a comment with your suggestion on how to kickstart 2017 - the more the merrier 😜

Cheers

Taking Christmas photos

while searching through some photography websites, I came across this interesting article from  PetaPixel - have a read and see what you think 😊

http://petapixel.com/2016/12/16/quick-tip-take-holiday-photos-led-christmas-lights/

and because I believe every post should have a photo, here is one of my first attempts at Christmas Lights - I think I need to have a closer read of that article!

Cheers!
