2017 POTY Competition Results

Well, that was a big night! In total, 194 images were submitted by our members for consideration for Photograph of the Year (POTY) for 2017.

124 PDIs & 70 Prints were judged by a panel of 3 judges - Chris Schultz, Susie Lipert & Peter Phillips. The evening flowed quickly and smoothly with the judges giving some wonderful feedback on the top images. Many thanks to the judges for their comments. Many thanks to David & Jack for ensuring a quick turnaround on the prints - quite a task considering it was accomplished in the dark!

Out and about .... Sunset in Port Adelaide

Our Treasurer, David, suggested an impromptu gathering in the Port to get some sunset/night shots and to have a bit of a play with our cameras.

A few members gathered near the clipper ship, City of Adelaide and went for a short walk along the docks while the sun was setting.

It was a fun night out and 2 1/2 hours just disappeared into the blink of an eye!  It was agreed that we must do it again some time soon!

PACC Members are encouraged to keep an eye out in the Facebook Members Only Group, InFocus, to see if any other impromptu outings are mentioned.

If you are reading this and you are not a member, but would like to join, membership for 2018 will be open after our AGM, on the 21st November 2017.

Feel free to visit our Facebook page to see more top images, or if you like, sign-up for our Newsletter and get the latest news on the happenings at the club via email.

Cheers for now

Out and about Adelaide .....

A few very brave people went out on Sunday, 29th October 2017 for a photo walk around our lovely City.

The corner of War Memorial Drive and Montefoire Road was the designated meeting place.

As the weather was very questionable at the time, a small group stayed near the River Torrens.

Another smaller group ventured along North Terrace to admire the new RAH and the SAHMRI building.

I am sure we will see some of the images taken on this outing in some future competitions!

Well, that is our last 'official' club outing for the year.  PACC members are encouraged to keep a watch on 'InFocus' to see if there are any impromptu gatherings over the next few months.

Ofcourse, if you would like to be kept up to date on the happenings at our club, you are most welcome to subscribe to our Newsletter.
